Sometimes the best doodles happen at work. I like the gradiation on certain parts; like on the elbows smoothly going from dark blue to near-white. Hard to pull off with hatching.

WarehouseRabbit responds:

Well said. We usually have very busy days but last friday was just dead on the water, we had two dogs visiting and that was about it for the whole day x-x

As for the drawing, shoot, thank you very much, fren ;0; I was worried about coloring her gloves and boots in any way, so I'm happy to know I nailed it still :)

I've been thinking this for a while but I'm not sure I've actually said it; your use of contrast has improved by leaps and bounds. Like, there's solid black here, solid white, and it's immediately easy to distinguish the character from the background.

WarehouseRabbit responds:

It's ok, fren, I don't mind hearing it again from one of my art idols : D And thank you very much, fren, I've thought several times in adding more coloring but I'm not great at it so I mostly just stick to what I know.
I'm happy to hear that its easy to tell the background from the characters and in the future, I hope to be able to make crazier, more surreal backgrounds while maintaning the same distinction between characters and the scenery.

Once again, thank you for your kind words, friend.

A late birthday gift is still more than I expect of anyone, lol. I really like the mix of pen and pencil in this, it's a really neat way to have a foreground and a background.

WarehouseRabbit responds:

Glad to know you liked it, fren :3

Which partner? The best one.

I saw your profile picture and had to find this to like it, lol. Very playful / painterly. The hair is especially nice.

TheBestBroster responds:

Oh man thank you, glad you like it!!!

My favorite party members from their respective games. So many Mario RPGs are so good.

More importantly, this art is also really good. The more... mature? Serious? Something. How you drew Geno, it's good. This is probably just because doll limbs are inevitably going to be robotic looking, it gives me a little Megaman X / Megaman Zero vibe. Also the pattern on the eye make it a neat focal point.

And thank you for the little extra cute Vivian at the end.

TikkiToon responds:

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like my stylization of Geno too. I def was going for a more mature look for him. Vivian's pretty timid but also playful as a character too, I guess I wanted them to contrast.

I like the pattern for his eye too, there was no reason for me to add that other than it's cool looking lol

NEVER TOO LATE TO BEND THE KNEE- WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER, SAYONARA!

I adore Nagoriyuki's design and you definitely did it justice.

botico responds:

hahaha, thank you!

I've noticed you've gotten good at separating the character from the background in your character-focused stuff. It's not easy to do with just black and white.

WarehouseRabbit responds:

Thank you, bunbrother! ;0;

Squigly main forever.

The line work on this is beautiful. The texture and thickness variance.

pinmoBOT responds:

Thank you for your feedback!

You did a great job emulating the style, which I love. Only difference I can see is that the MMZ eyes tend to be a little bigger and simpler than here (they really liked the "big iris, no pupil" style). But that's just a difference, not better or worse.

DanSyron responds:

yeah i have certain style things I do, so this is probably more an inspired style rather than an emulation

This is a super interesting style. Good job.

Batfick responds:

Thanks man! It's my most complex digital work yet :o
